Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name, case number, or other term entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Pecos County Court Docket does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or contact submission may be retained long enough to answer and maintain the related correspondence. It remains within the organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, servers may automatically receive basic technical and usage details, including:
- The date and time of each page request
- Device and operating-system category
- Browser type and version
- Visited pages and approximate time spent
- A referring website, when one is provided
- The device's assigned IP address
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help measure traffic patterns, such as popular pages and points where visits end. Analytics vendors combine that activity into broader statistics. Browser controls can block cookies, although disabling them may change how some features work.
What We Do With This Data
- Diagnosing errors and other technical problems
- Operating the website and improving load performance
- Routing a submitted query to the selected search provider
- Measuring which content receives useful engagement
- Displaying advertisements that may reflect interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Pecos County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of dockets or personal case information. It provides general directions to the Pecos County District Clerk, Pecos County Clerk, assigned trial courts, lower-court clerks, and re:SearchTX. Access to Texas judicial records is generally governed by Texas Rule of Judicial Administration 12 and other court law, not the ordinary Texas Public Information Act process. Visitor information is not assembled into third-party records or consumer reports, and the website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted there is governed by that provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider controls its retention and disclosure practices. Review those terms before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Pecos County clerk pages, Texas court portals, legal-aid resources, re:SearchTX, or private search services. Once an external link is opened, the destination's policy controls. Check it before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select interest-based advertisements.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
- Analytics vendors measuring use and performance
- Search providers processing a query you submit
- Advertising networks serving page advertisements
- Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices are used to protect collected information. No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security, so the possibility of unauthorized access cannot be eliminated.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor is believed to have submitted information, contact the operator so it can be removed.
Your Data Rights
Depending on residency and applicable exceptions, the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Texas Business and Commerce Code Chapter 541, or another privacy law may provide additional rights. Requests may include the ability to:
- Request deletion where the law provides that right
- Obtain access to covered information held about you
- Correct covered information that is inaccurate
- Opt out of processing covered by an applicable law
